The district’s winter Pome Fest is back, and there are plenty of activities to participate in to celebrate all things apple and pear.
After the success of the inaugural 2019 event, organisers have reinvented some offerings to allow for social distancing and at-home participation, including an online cooking masterclass with MasterChef Australia star, Callum Hann.
The community is invited to learn the techniques for managing healthy fruit trees at home, tour the orchards and packing sheds of the hills’ growers, and even vote in a district-wide taste test celebrating apple and pear recipes by local chefs.
