Cyclist hit-run Fitzroy North

A cyclist is in a life-threatening condition after he was struck by a car in Fitzroy North on 3 April.

The 30-year-old man was riding along Brunswick Street, just before the Fitzroy Bowls Club, when he was hit by the black car about 3.15am.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver, who was believed to be the sole occupant of the vehicle, parked away from the scene before walking back to take a look at the injured cyclist and then driving away.

The car is described as a black hatchback Volkswagen.
