Territorians are being urged to reconsider any travel to Channel Point, Dundee Beach, Bynoe Harbour, and also movement around the Tiwi Islands, ahead of the monsoonal weather system in the region.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a Tropical Cyclone Watch today, as north western coastal communities may be affected by strong winds from tomorrow.
If you do not need to travel, please avoid using the roads until the wet weather has passed and it’s safe to do so. This also includes boat-goers, please keep off the water until it’s safe.
And always remember, if it’s flooded, forget it!
