Police are appealing for footage of an alleged dangerous driving incident resulting in a crash at Acacia Ridge yesterday.
Around 11am, police observed the blue ute driving along Learoyd Road at Willawong and attempted to intercept it.
The ute allegedly evaded police by speeding away and driving dangerously. It then crashed into a dark-coloured Ford Fiesta near the Chardean Street intersection a short time later.
The driver, a 35-year-old Marsden man, ran from the car before being arrested by officers a short distance away.
Detectives are asking members of the public who witnessed, or may have footage, of the blue ute allegedly driving dangerously to come forward. It is described as having a purple hard cover bearing Queensland registration DOHEAPS.
The man was refused police bail and is scheduled to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court today charged with trespass, dangerous operation of a vehicle, fail to comply with duties of a driver involved in a crash, driving unlicensed and possessing dangerous drugs.
