Dangerous Driving Charges At Nambour

Police have charged a teenager following an incident this morning, 10 August.

Sometime between 10pm yesterday, 9 August, and 6.30am today, 10 August, a white Honda Civic was stolen from an address on Satinash Place in Mudjimba.

It will be alleged the vehicle was driven erratically from Bli Bli to Nambour, sideswiping multiple vehicles before crashing at the intersection of Coronation Avenue and Carroll Street around 8.40am.

Two offenders allegedly ran from the scene. One was swiftly apprehended a short distance away, the second remains outstanding.

A 15-year-old Nambour boy has been charged six offences including dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling and commit, driving a motor vehicle without a licence, failing to comply with duties of a driver involved in a crash, and receiving tainted property.

He is due to front Maroochydore Children’s Court tomorrow, 11 August.

Investigations are ongoing, anyone with information or relevant dashcam vision is urged to contact police.
