Dangerous Driving Charges at Rosslea, QLD

Police have charged a man following a traffic crash at Rosslea on Tuesday 11 August.

It will be alleged around 9:40pm police attempted to intercept a black Ford Territory at Stuart Drive, Idalia, when the driver evaded police.

Officers later attended a Love Lane, Rosslea address, where the same vehicle allegedly reversed into a police vehicle and fled.

Following investigations police arrested a man outside a Fulham Road, Heatley address about 4:50pm yesterday, 12 August.

A 22-year-old Heatley man has been charged with 14 offences including evading police, failing to stop at a red traffic light, driving uninsured, using a vehicle which a number plate attached given granted for another vehicle, receiving tainted property, driving without a driver license, damaging an emergency vehicle, endangering police, failing to comply with duties of a driver involved in a crash, driving a defective vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs, and possessing utensils.

The man has been remanded in custody and faced Townsville Magistrates Court today, 13 August.
