Dashcam footage sought in Evanston South attempt robbery, South Australia

Barossa CIB Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage which may have captured an attempt robbery at Evanston South yesterday.

About 9.15am on Sunday 3 February, a man was riding his motorcycle south on Main North Road when he became involved in a traffic dispute with another motorist as they passed through a section of roadworks.

The man stopped in a slip lane of Main North Road near the Smith Road/Dalkeith Road intersection and the other driver pulled over in front of him.

The car driver and his male passenger got out of the car and confronted the victim. The passenger produced a knife and demanded property from the man but he refused. The victim was not injured during the incident.

The suspect vehicle is described as a small grey/blue four door sedan.

The driver was described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, wearing no shirt and dark shorts. The passenger was described as being of Caucasian appearance, wearing a baseball cap, t-shirt and shorts.

During the altercation, several vehicles passed by the incident and investigators are asking those motorists who may have dashcam to check their footage.
