A 31-year-old male prisoner has died at the Darwin Correctional Centre overnight.
The man was found unresponsive in his cell by correctional officers at around 8am this morning. Medical assistance was provided but the man was declared deceased at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
