Kempsey Shire Council
Kempsey Shire Council has organised the demolition of the ‘PCYC Cottage’ building on Bloomfield Street South Kempsey.
The building next to Kempsey’s Police Citizens and Youth Club is no longer safe to use due to asbestos, lead paint, structural issues and tree root invasion and will therefore be demolished. Demolition works will begin from Tuesday 21 September
The demolition was agreed to by the PCYC Kempsey and will make way for additional youth activities to be provided by the organisation.
As the building contains asbestos, Council has prepared a Hazardous Substance Management Plan in line with SafeWork requirements.
