Denison Street Gloucester road reconstruction to start

MidCoast Council

Work on Denison Street road reconstruction between Church Street and Ravenshaw Street will start during the week beginning 18 July, weather permitting.

“The road reconstruction will provide a smoother travelling surface and improved drainage for Denison Street,” said Council’s Executive Manager of Transport and Engineering, Peter Gesling.

“We know improving our roads is a priority for the MidCoast community and we are pleased to begin this important improvement work.

“We appreciate the community’s patience while the works take place.”

Sections of Denison Street will be closed to through traffic with local detours put in place.

Local residents will be able to access their homes at all times. St Joseph’s Primary School will maintain its pick up/drop off points for buses and parents at the front of the school.

It will take approximately four months to complete the work, weather permitting.
