Students in the Wellington Shire are a step closer to having the state-of-the-art training facilities they deserve, with the Victorian Government unveiling its designs for the new TAFE Gippsland campus at the Port of Sale.

The video animation offers a virtual glimpse of the $25 million project that will centralise most of TAFE Gippsland’s facilities and services in Sale.

The new Port of Sale campus will deliver education and training facilities for a range of industry and academic disciplines that will meet industry and community needs and provide greater access to training for students across the region.

The development will provide purpose-built facilities for a variety of courses including health and social services, early childhood, carpentry, engineering and automotive trade.

The new TAFE campus has been designed by Victorian architects GHD Woodhead Architecture.

A builder is expected to be appointed in the coming months, completion of the project scheduled in late 2021, with opening of the new facility in early 2022.

The Victorian Government is delivering the biggest change to TAFE and skills training in Victoria’s history and supporting TAFE Gippsland to build the facilities it needs.

Since 2015, the Victorian Government has invested more than $1.3 billion to rebuild our TAFE system.
