Destination Darwin to feature on national travel show Getaway

Channel Nines travel and lifestyle show Getaway have spentthe past week in Darwin filming travel stories to air in early 2020.

During the Darwin shoot Getaway presenter Lauren Phillips came face to facewith the worlds largest reptile, diving in the Crocosaurus Coves Cage ofDeath, with the segment also featuring Crocosaurus Coves Big Croc Feed showand Fishing for Crocs activities.

The Getaway team will also be filming a travel story with the NTs own OutbackWrangler Matt Wright, taking an overnight adventure to his Top End Safari Camp,which features luxury tent accommodation and plenty of high adrenalinadventures.

The best free things to do in Darwin will also be filmed with the Getaway team visitingthe Mindil Beach Sunset Markets, the 2019 Darwin Street Art Festival, the Museumand Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and the Darwin Waterfront Precinct.

Darwins foodie scene will also be covered with the Getaway team visiting TheParap Markets, Lolas Pergola Darwin, The Trader Bar and enjoying a pizza atCucina sotto le Stelle, along the Nightcliff foreshore.

Getaway is in its 28th season, making it Australias longest runninglifestyle program and airs nationally as well as in New Zealand and othernetworks around the world and airs at 5pm Saturdays on Channel 9.
