Detectives appeal for witnesses following death of Moe teenager

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following the death of a teenager in Moe on Friday, 3 November.

Emergency services were called to reports of a person with injuries on the Princes Freeway about 3.15am.

A 17-year-old Moe boy was pronounced deceased at the scene.

It is unclear how the teenager came to be on the road and police are investigating if he may have fallen from a nearby overpass.

A number of witnesses stopped at the scene and spoke with police.

Detectives are looking to speak with a truck driver who was seen carrying a blue or green shipping container at the time.

They believe the driver may also be able to assist with their enquiries.

Investigations are ongoing into the exact cause of the incident.
