Police are investigating after a woman was located deceased in Bacchus Marsh this morning.
Emergency services were called to the property on Connor Street just after 3.30am.
A woman, who is yet to be formally identified, was located deceased inside the property.
A 75-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
He was transported to hospital under police guard with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is believed the parties are known and at this stage police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
Homicide Squad detectives will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
