Detectives investigate Shepparton fires

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating two unrelated suspicious fires in Shepparton this month.

Emergency services were called to a property on Parker Street between 2.30am and 3.20am on 9 April.

The house was completely destroyed during the fire and nobody was injured.

Police are also investigating a fire in bushland on Archer Street, Mooroopna on 13 April.

Emergency services were called to the fire about 2.30pm, just north of the railway crossing bridge.

Police wish to speak with two males who were observed in the area at the time of the grass fire.

The first male is perceived to be Caucasian, between 16-20 years old, sandy blond hair and was wearing a grey shirt.

The second male is aged between 16-25 years old, with dark hair and was wearing a black singlet and dark pants.

Investigators don’t believe the two fires are linked.
