Detectives release CCTV as inquiries continue into stabbing in South Granville

Detectives investigating the stabbing of an 18-year-old man in South Granville earlier this year have released CCTV in the hope of identifying a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

About 9.20am (Thursday 11 July 2019), officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were called to a home on Boronia Street, South Granville following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival officers found an 18-year-old man suffering stab wounds to his upper body. He was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

While his condition is no longer life threatening, he continues to recover in hospital.

Detectives from Cumberland PAC have taken carriage of the investigation and have now released vision of a man who they believe can help with their inquiries.

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, with a thin build and at the time was wearing black pants with reflective stripes on the knee with a black hooded jumper.
