Detectives seek assistance after Melbourne burglary

Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are seeking assistance following a burglary in Melbourne on 9 August.

Investigators have been told a man and woman attended a convenience store in Flinders Street about 5.50pm where he entered the store while the woman kept watch outside.

The man went to the rear office and stole cash before they both fled in a taxi along Flinders Street.

Investigators have released images of the man and woman who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian, 180cm tall, solid build and wearing a blue hooded jacket, blue and white scarf, black t-shirt with red and grey writing, a black baseball cap with a red logo, black pants and white runners.

The male has what appears to be a tattoo on his left hand.

The woman is perceived to be of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 160cm tall, wearing a green jacket, a pink beanie, blue jeans and pink runners.
