Developing Bass Coast Forums are back

Bass Coast Shire Council is excited to be hosting its first in-person Developing Bass Coast Forum since 2019. Bernard Salt will be presenting at the forum, famous for references to ‘smashed avocado’ and identifying and tagging new tribes and social behaviours such as the “Seachange Shift” and the “Goats Cheese Curtain”. Mr Salt is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most influential social commentators.

The forum provides an opportunity for business leaders to understand the key trends shaping Bass Coast in the years to come. Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan, said the Developing Bass Coast Forums is a great way to better understand what is happening in-region and provides an important link for Council Officers and Councillors to the development community

“Business play a critical role in our community, and we want developments in our region to be best-in-class and by ensuring we have a strong link to developers we can better align to our community’s vision” Cr Whelan said.

“After cancelling in 2020 and 2021 events, we’re glad to be hosting this event in-person.”

“We are looking forward to hearing from Bernard Salt in what I am sure is going to be a very entertaining breakfast” Cr Whelan said.

The event is being held on Tuesday, 17 May from 7.30am to 9.30am in the Bayview Room at Silverwater Resort in San Remo. Tickets, which include breakfast, are $20 each and can be booked online at www.developing-bass-coast.eventbrite.com.au.
