Disability Access and Inclusion Survey

We invite you to take part in a 10-15 minute survey that will inform the development of a Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP). The DAIP will be used to implement access improvements across all areas of Council, ensuring we have an inclusive and welcoming community where nobody is disadvantaged because of a disability

One in five South Australians live with a disability. People with disability and their family members are adversely impacted when they are faced with barriers that prevent access to and participation in events, activities, facilities and services that are a normal part of community life.

The Disability Inclusion Act 2018 makes it mandatory for councils to develop a DAIP that has to be reviewed every four years and reported on annually. Councils have until October 2020 to develop these plans.

The City of Holdfast Bay is currently developing a Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP) that removes barriers to access and inclusion, and ensures a welcoming and inclusive community for all, regardless of ability.

Phase one of this engagement is open from 18 February to 10 March 2020
