A decision not to hold the Discipline (marching) contest at the Mooroopna 2020 championships has been reviewed and a revised format will now go ahead at the event next year.
The decision to remove the Discipline Contest was made during the initial planning stages but after a review it has been decided that the contest will continue at the 2020 State Championships. However, it will be in a revised format. The revised format will see the contest:
- Be an optional event
- Be open for participation to both urban and rural brigades
- Omit the inspection process
- Be judged on movement only
- Allow brigades to march in dress or running uniform providing the brigade is all wearing the same type of uniform
