The City of Greater Geelong is proud to support this half-day dynamic event on Thursday 22 February, that will deep dive into how community members can evolve and grow their business through digital innovation.

Presented by Business nbn and local organisation Business in Heels and supported by the Geelong Chamber of Commerce and Committee for Geelong, the Digital Innovation Summit will run from 9:30am-2:00pm at Wurdi Youang (Level 5), Geelong Library and Heritage Centre.

Mayor Trent Sullivan will officially open the event before a 2.5-hour interactive session with speakers including David Pollock from Business nbn about Australia’s online preferences and a growth in devices at home. Accenture’s Sieg Lafon will give us an insight into the mind of a hacker and what you can do to protect your business.

Enjoy the panel discussion from local business experts brimming with practical tips and tricks that can be applied immediately:

  • Enterprise Monkey’s Aamir Qutub will explain how to leverage your business through digital innovation from website to apps and AI;
  • Matt Cowdell from Arthur St will simplify the complexities of ChatGPT and show how AI can be used to your advantage, with a focus on human-centered marketing; and
  • Harvest Geelong’s Maree Herath will speak on the Geelong HR Index and a survey of economic, employment and Human Resources (HR) trends, while also exploring the digital divide in employment and how this can be overcome.

Following a networking lunch, the Digital Innovation Summit will close with a one-hour workshop on “What AI can (and can’t) do for your business”, presented by Accenture’s Kelly Brough.

This session will how explore how small businesses can automate personalised experiences and marketing to drive growth much more efficiently and cheaply than traditional marketing efforts.
