Residents are invited to discover how they can make a difference in their community at the Camden Volunteer Expo 2026.
The event will be held on Saturday 26 September, 10am-2pm, at the Camden Civic Centre, with local organisations coming together to showcase a wide range of rewarding volunteer opportunities.
The Expo is designed to strengthen community connections while supporting local organisations to recruit volunteers, raise awareness of their services and build partnerships across the Camden Local Government Area.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said volunteering was a great way to give back to the community while developing new skills and meeting new people.
“Volunteers are the backbone of many community organisations and events and their generosity helps make Camden the welcoming and connected place it is today,” she said.
“Whether you’re looking to support a cause you’re passionate about, gain new experiences or simply meet like-minded people, the Camden Volunteer Expo is a fantastic opportunity to explore what’s available. This terrific event makes it easy for residents to find a role that matches their interests, skills and availability.
“Even a small amount of your time can make a lasting difference to local organisations and the people they support.”
The family-friendly event will also feature face painting for children, a sausage sizzle and coffee available from the Camden Civic Centre café.
