Police have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with investigations into an incident in which a moped rider allegedly evaded police by driving on the footpath at Redbank last month, narrowly avoiding members of the public.
At around 8.05pm on February 24 officers from Yamanto Police Station were conducting traffic operations on Mount Juillerat Drive when they spotted a man riding a moped without a helmet, leaving a local service station.
Officers attempted to intercept the moped however it failed to stop with the male rider driving on the footpath before turning right onto Creekstone Drive and driving through an adjacent park.
The moped, which did not have a registration plate attached, is described as small and black.
Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact police.
