Doctor charged over alleged sexual touching of patient – Albury

A doctor has been charged over the alleged sexual touching of a patient in the state’s south four years ago.

In December 2025, officers attached to Murray River Police District commenced an investigation following a report a woman had been allegedly sexually touched during a visit to a doctor in Albury in July 2022.

Following extensive enquiries, yesterday (Thursday 1 October 2026), officers issued a 51-year-old man a Court Attendance Notice for the offence of sexually touch another person without consent.

He will appear before Albury Local Court on Tuesday 22 December 2026.
