“The Australian Doctors Reform Society today joins the Australian Medical Association (AMA) and Royal Australian College of GPs (RACGP) in welcoming the Labor partys billion dollar Strengthening Medicare Fund.”said Dr Robert Marr GP and Secretary General of the Australian Doctors Reform Society(ADRS)
“Over the last 9 years the Federal government has restricted funding for General Practice and cut funding for public hospitals from 50% to 45% resulting in hospital underfunding and hospital emergency departments that cant cope with increased demand”said Dr Marr
“Labors Billion dollar Strengthening Medicare Fund will provide grants to GPs to enable GPs to provide much more care for patients at the GP Practice including Nursing care,physiotherapy,etc, on site resulting in better health care,better health outcomes and reducing overloading in hospital emergency departments because many patients wont have to go to public hospital emergency departments for non emergency health care”said Dr Marr
“The Australian Doctors Reform Society joins with the AMA and RACGP to call on the Morrison government to support Labors Billion dollar strengthening Medicare Fund.”said Dr Marr
