Dog stolen from car in Brunswick East

Police are appealing for public assistance after an 8-year-old miniature Pomeranian, Marbles, was stolen in Brunswick East yesterday.

Officers believe that an unknown offender has removed and stolen Marbles from an unlocked Grey Kia Sportage, parked on O’Connor Street near the intersection of Lygon Street, sometime between midday and 12.30pm on Wednesday 5 July.

Marbles was secured inside a canvas crate on the front seat of the Kia at the time.

She is tan in colour and was wearing a red collar at the time.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Investigators have released an image of Marbles in the hope someone may be able to provide information on her current whereabouts.
