Two people have died in a fatal collision in Caulfield South this evening.
Investigators have been told the male driver of a black BMW sedan was travelling along North Road about 10.45pm, when he collided with another vehicle.
The impact forced the other vehicle, a silver Honda sedan to roll.
Sadly, both occupants of the silver Honda, a man and a woman died at the scene.
They are yet to be formally identified.
The driver and passenger of the BMW sedan sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The area has been cordoned off and it is expected the scene will be assessed this evening and processed into the morning.
