Double the fun: Enjoy two Saturdays of entertainment in April

Kempsey Shire Council

Two terrific Saturdays are in store for April to celebrate incredible projects and the remarkable people of the Kempsey Shire.

“Something for everyone,” celebrate youth and Kempsey’s vibrant CBD at laneway festival

The Macleay Youth Laneway Festival is set to bring fun and celebrations to Kempsey this Youth Week. The festival will be held on Saturday 22 April from 2pm until 6pm.

Aisha Spokes, Community Projects Officer at Kempsey Shire Council said the laneway festival is a great way to recognise the contribution local youth make to our community.

“The laneway festival has something for everyone, with a silent disco where you can dance to your own beat and exciting fire twirling and lightshows,” said Ms Spokes.

“There’s even be a rock climbing wall on offer for thrill-seekers and a 9-hole put putt golf course. Plus, local eateries will be open and food trucks on site offering a range of delicious options!”

The Macleay Youth Laneway Festival is also a chance to celebrate the vibrant Elringtons and Savages laneways that have been revitalised in Kempsey’s CBD.

“Experience the creativity of our local artists with live art mural installations and street chalk art.”
