Draft Community Land Management Plan

Our council holds over 400 parcels of community land that are used for the benefit of the community.

Each parcel is categorised into 12 key types of land:

  • Conservation
  • Informal recreation
  • Community use (e.g. the Mount Torrens Coach House, pictured)
  • Halls and institutes
  • Recreation and sport
  • Cemeteries
  • Walkways and other land held for access purposes
  • Drainage reserves
  • Vehicle access restrictions
  • Civic purposes
  • Emergency services, and
  • Multi-purpose sites.

We are currently engaging the residents, businesses, facility users and the wider community to review our draft Land Management Plans and associated Land Register and give us your comments on categories, descriptions, and anything else you’d like us to consider.

Click through to the consultation page for this project and you can browse a helpful fact sheet about this consultation, the draft Community Land Management Plan, as well as a register of all Community Land parcels, and summaries of what each category means.

Consultation closes on 30 August 2019.
