Dream big with us at community catch-ups

Kempsey Shire Council

The direction for the 2021 community catch-ups has shifted slightly for the remainder of the year.

Starting from the next community catch-up scheduled for 6 May in Kempsey at the Slim Dusty Centre, catch-ups will be focused on helping us all dream bigger.

We will still make time for the more traditional elements of community catch-ups but most of our time together will now be spent designing the future of our shire through to 2050.

We are interested in hearing whether or not you agree with the current vision for the future of Kempsey, “We live in a community that provides opportunity to all to prosper in an environment that supports well-being, connectedness and access to resources the community wants and needs”.

We are also interested in exploring what alternatives to this vision might look like and plan to workshop potential different priorities.

In shifting our focus, the structure of the catch-ups will change to the following:

  • Info stall where people can arrive to the catch-up early to ask specific questions to staff
  • Site visits where Councillors and the senior leadership staff at Council will be present prior to the catch-up
  • Q&A, where answers to as many of the pre-submitted questions as possible will be addressed
  • Formal workshop where we will dive into the vision for the future

Register for the next community catch-up to help us design the future Kempsey of your dreams
