A man has lost his licence after crashing at Stepney.
About 10.40pm on Monday 5 October, police and emergency crews responded to reports of a Mercedes Benz station wagon crashing into a tree on Payneham Road.
Police attended and submitted the driver and sole occupant a 45-year-old man from Kent Town to a driver test which police will allege returned a positive result of 0.159 – nearly four times the legal limit.
The driver was reported for drink driving, issued a 12-month instant loss of licence notice and the car was accident towed from the scene.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
