Drive safe as Show goes

Motorists are reminded roads surrounding the Royal Adelaide Show grounds have speed restrictions in place, as inclement weather has forced changes to car parking in the area.

South Australia Police (SAPOL) is disappointed by the number of road users disobeying 25 km/h speed restrictions in place, including on sections of Greenhill Road, Goodwood Road, Rose Terrace, and Leader Street.

Speed restrictions are in place for the duration of the show between 9am and 10pm for community safety, and will be strictly enforced.

At the parklands, PARK 21 (entry from South Terrace) has been closed, and Park 22 (entry via Greenhill Road or Anzac Highway) has been reduced and is operating at a very limited capacity.

PARK 23 remains open, and additional parking is available at the Netball SA Stadium Mile End and will continue to be serviced by a free coach transfer to and from the Showground from 7am to 10pm.

To support Show-goers today, coach transfers have been increased and will operate at regular intervals.

An additional pick up point has also been added for the coach transfer to now service the multi-story carpark located on 33 Richmond Road.

Show-goers are encouraged to make the most of public transport, including: a dedicated bus interchange with special Royal Show bus services, dedicated Adelaide Showground train station, and tram station within walking distance.
