Driver flees Gepps Cross crash, South Australia

Police are looking for a driver after a crash at Gepps Cross last night.

Emergency services were called to Main North Road, Gepps Cross, near the Superdrome, about 8.45pm on Monday 4 February by reports a car had crashed into a Stobie pole and the driver had run off.

The driver is described as of Caucasian appearance, about 180 cm tall, wearing a red t-shirt.

Police searched the area with the assistance on the police helicopter (PolAir) and Police Dog Havoc but did not locate the driver. It is feared he may have been injured in the crash, which left significant debris at the scene and brought down powerlines.

The Ford Falcon was towed from the scene for forensic examination.
