Driver picked up over limit and on wrong side of road in Pentland Hills

A drink driver was arrested by police after he was found driving on the wrong side of the Western Freeway in Pentland Hills overnight.

Police were called after the white Holden Commodore was seen driving west bound in the east bound lanes of the Western Freeway about 11.20pm.

It’s understood the Commodore, while on the wrong side of the road, collided with another vehicle, a black Nissan sedan.

Luckily the driver of the Nissan wasn’t seriously injured.

The Commodore didn’t stop at the scene and continued west before officers attempted to intercept the car near Pentland Hills Road and the car came to a stop.

The 37-year-old driver was arrested at the scene in relation to conduct endangering life.

The Maddingley man, who was also found to be over the limit after furnishing an evidentiary breath test result of .108, is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the white Commodore on the Western Freeway or who has dash cam vision is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or long onto www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
