2021 sees the launch of a new addition to the Victorian Tourism Awards program – Victorian Top Tourism Town.

Hosted by the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC), the accolade reflects the emerging love affair Victorians have formed with the beautiful destinations in their own backyard post lockdown.

The new award recognises regional towns and centres offering amazing visitor experiences in a changed industry landscape. 22 finalists across the state are now vying for the titles.

Dromana – ‘a little slice of all the Peninsula has to offer’, is one of six finalists in the Top Tourism Town category.

Fingal may be tiny but punches well above its weight when it comes to award winning activities and accommodation. The small town is proudly sitting alongside 15 other finalists in the Top Small Tourism Towns category.

Support where you live, work and play and vote for our local finalists! You’ll go in the draw to win a Melbourne getaway for two, which includes a one-night stay at the new luxury W Melbourne Hotel and entry passes to the NGV’s Winter Masterpieces series, as well as afternoon high tea at The Hotel Windsor.

Voting is open until the 27 May 2021. Go to: vtic.com.au/toptourismtown/

The winners will receive airtime on Prime 7 to the value of $15,000 (Top Tourism Town Award) and $10,000 (Top Small Tourism Town Award). Both winners will then progress on to the nationals for a chance to be named Australia’s Top Tourism Town.
