Drug And Firearm Charges in Goodna, QLD

Two people have been charged after police tracked a hire vehicle to an address in Goodna, where an emergent search was conducted on 15 August.

Police had been investigating a white Toyota Camry following reports the driver had been seen in possession of a firearm.

During the search, police allegedly located and seized 233 grams of methamphetamine, 30 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of cannabis, a shotgun allegedly stolen during a 2018 break and enter, 199 rounds of ammunition and other items suspected of being tainted property.

A 24-year-old Goodna woman has been charged with four counts of possessing dangerous drugs, and one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, authority required to possess explosives, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property, possess utensils and offences to buy or possess S4 or S8 medicines.

She is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on 18 August.

A 23-year-old Goodna man has been charged with four counts of possessing dangerous drugs, and one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, authority required to possess explosives, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property, possess utensils and offences to buy or possess S4 or S8 medicines.

He appeared in Ipswich Magistrates Court on 16 August.

Investigations into the seized items remain ongoing.
