Mackay Police have charged a man following investigations into alleged drug offences in South Mackay last week.
Around 9.30am on Wednesday, August 21, officers executed a search warrant at a Goldsmith Street address in South Mackay, where they allegedly located various quantities of dangerous drugs, cannabis, cocaine, drug utensils, and cash.
The recent arrests, led by officers from the Mackay Tactical Crime Squad were executed as part of Operation Kelly, an ongoing operation aimed at targeting drug and firearm offenders in the area.
A 30-year-old Toowoomba man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with six counts of possessing dangerous drugs, three counts of possessing tainted property, and one count each of unlawful possession of weapons, producing dangerous drugs, possessing/acquiring restricted items, possessing relevant substances or things, possessing anything used in the commission of crime, possessing utensils, and authority required to possess explosives.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Mackay Magistrates Court on November 13.
