Drug chargesin Brisbane

Officers from the Crime and Intelligence Command’s Organised Crime Gangs Group have charged four people, including a member of Saturdurah OMCG, with drug offences after executing a search warrant at a Brisbane address yesterday.

During the search of the Upper Roma Street accommodation premises, police located and seized dangerous drugs, drug related equipment and a sum of cash.

The 42-year-old man, allegedly a member of Saturdurah OMCG, was charged with supply dangerous drugs, possess dangerous drugs and possess proceeds from supply dangerous drugs. He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 11 May 2022

A 26-year-old Brisbane City man has been charged with possess dangerous drugs and possess utensil.

A 22-year-old Townsville man has been charged with possess dangerous drugs and possess utensil. He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 16 May 2022

A 34-year-old Brisbane City man has been charged with possess dangerous drugs, possess thing used and possess utensil. He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 18 May 2022

Investigations into this matter are ongoing with further arrests to be made.

Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith from the Organised Crime Gangs Group said police will continue investigating and disrupting criminal gangs.

“OMCG members and associates of OMCGs remain firmly in police sights and we will continue taking all available actions to protect the community from their criminal activities,” Detective Superintendent Smith said.
