A woman has been arrested attempting to flee the State after a large amount of drugs were found at Athol Park.
Police will allege that on Monday 14 June, officers from Western District Criminal Investigation Branch searched a house and located a significant quantity of cannabis being grown hydroponically within the premises.
Police seized a total of 94 cannabis plants, approximately five kilograms of dried cannabis and hydroponic equipment. The electricity supply to the premises had also been tampered with to power the equipment.
Today (Tuesday 15 June.), police went to Adelaide Airport after they received information that a suspect in the matter was trying board a flight.
A 24-year -old woman from Athol Park was arrested and charged with cultivate commercial quantity of a controlled plant, trafficking a large commercial quantity of controlled plant, possess prescribed equipment and divert electricity. Police will further allege it was the intention of the arrested person to flee South Australia to avoid arrest.
Police bail was refused and the woman is expected to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
