Drug trafficking arrest

A man has been charged with drug trafficking after an investigation by the Serious and Organised Crime Branch.

Following an investigation today (Friday 28 July) Detectives attended and searched a Croydon address and arrested a 35-year-old man. A total of 870 grams of methamphetamine was seized as result of this investigation.

He has been charged with trafficking in a commercial quantity of methamphetamine. And will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today, 28 July 2023.

Detective Superintendent Billy Thompson, Officer in Charge of Serious and Organised Crime Branch said; “Methamphetamine causes terrible harm to users and to our communities, this seizure is a significant amount and would have a street value of approximately $90,000. Those who traffic illicit drugs in these amounts do so purely for their own greed, they have no care for others”.

Anyone with information about the location, sale or supply of illicit substances is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report on line at www.crimestopperssa.com.au – you can remain anonymous.
