Drugs and firearms at Kingston

Officers from the Logan District Drug and Firearms Team have charged a 32-year-old woman in relation to the alleged discovery of drugs and firearms at a residence at Kingston.

Around 3.40pm yesterday police executed a search warrant at a Juers Street address where it is alleged two shot guns, ammunition, a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe were located.

A 32-year-old Kingston woman has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of weapons and one count each of authority needed to use explosives, possession of a dangerous drug and possess utensils or pipes etc that had been used.

She is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on October 21, 2020.

Detective Inspector Tod Reid said that police will continue to target criminal and illegal activity in the Logan Police District.

“This is a demonstration of our continued commitment to the disruption of crime and keeping our community safe,” Detective Inspector Reid said.

Investigations are ongoing.
