Drunk Driver Blows Six Times Over In Barossa

A man will face court after being caught driving at more than six times the legal limit overnight.

At about 8.40pm on Saturday 2 May, police were called to Balmoral Road, Cockatoo Valley after reports that a Holden sedan had collided with a fence.

Police spoke with the driver, who underwent a breath test and returned a positive result of 0.312.

The 57-year-old man from Goolwa was subsequently reported for traffic offences including drink driving and driving with a suspended licence.

He was issued with a further 12-month instant loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
