The Western Plains Cultural Centre (WPCC) will host the annual Dubbo Art Fair (DAF) from 10 – 11 October with over 30 regional artists showcasing and selling their art at the event.
Now in its sixth year the event has established itself as the most significant art fair west of the Blue Mountains.
Dubbo Regional Council Mayor Josh Black said the Dubbo Art Fair is a platform for local artists to gain exposure for their work and interact with the community about the art making process.
“The role that art and culture play in the economy cannot be understated and the Dubbo Art Fair contributes significantly to this.
“This event is a great showcase of some of the talented artists in our region and provides the community the opportunity to purchase a locally created artwork,” Clr Black said.
Local artist Ellie Scott, whose work features vivid and colourful abstract landscapes, will be exhibiting for the first time this year and is looking forward to connecting with other artists and bringing her passion for art to the wider community.
“While creating art can be such a rewarding and enjoyable process, it can also be quite isolating. Events like the Dubbo Art Fair provide a wonderful opportunity for artists to get together, meet other creatives, talk about our practices and share what we’ve been working on.
“It’s a great opportunity to meet people from Dubbo and the surrounding region who might not otherwise come across my art. Being able to talk with visitors about my artwork and hear their responses is really valuable,” Ms Scott said.
The official opening for the Dubbo Art Fair will take place on Friday 9 October at 6pm. Tickets are $20 and can be booked via 123tix.
The event will be open to the community from 9am – 4pm on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026. Admission is free.
The Dubbo Art Fair is supported by Dubbo Regional Council and is supported through funding from Create NSW.
