Duo Arrested After CBD Robbery

Two teenagers have been arrested following a robbery in the Adelaide CBD.

About 7.40pm on Tuesday 25 August, a 17-year-old boy attended Hindley Street Police Station after he was allegedly robbed of a bag and mobile phone by two suspects armed with knives at the corner of Hindley Street and King William Street.

The victim and two teenage friends who were present during the incident were not physically injured.

Police searched the area and located a 19-year-old Prospect man in Clubhouse Lane and a 15-year-old Morphettville boy on North Terrace about 8.20pm.

The pair were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and police bail was refused.

A machete was located and seized by police and the victim’s bag was recovered.
