E-bike Rider Seriously Injured In Crash – Surry Hills

An e-bike rider has been seriously injured after a crash in the Sydney CBD

About 1.25am today (Sunday 4 October 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a crash between an e-bike and a silver Toyota Camry – being utilised a ride share vehicle – at the intersection of Oxford Street and College Street, Surry Hills.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 18-year-old male rider of the e-bike at the scene before he was taken to St Vincents Hospital in a serious but stable condition. The rider was not wearing a helmet.

The 29-year-old male driver of the vehicle and three passengers aged in their 20’s – all males – were uninjured.

The driver was taken to St Vincents Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command established a crime scene that was examined by specialist police.
