Eagle Farm Reserve now open

Families are now able to enjoy a brand new district level playground at Eagle Farm Reserve, next to the picturesque Eagle Vale duck pond.

The new playground features a range of play equipment including a combination play unit, climbing net, accessible swing, combination swing set, accessible carousel and trampoline.

A mix of native tree plantings and shade sails have been installed alongside several picnic shelters and a grassed picnic area.

“I’m delighted to see this fantastic new playground open just in time for the Christmas holidays,” Mayor George Brticevic said.

“This is going to be a very popular park in the heart of a suburb filled with young families and will further enhance a precinct which already has the duck pond and nearby Eagle Vale Central,” Cr Brticevic said.

Artwork from the Campbelltown Arts Centre’s Little Orange Studio has been incorporated in the design of the playground’s accessible amenities block.

The artwork, titled Eels, Greens and Other Underwater Creatures, was created by local artists Jessica Pound and Imogen Jade.

The $600,000 project was funded by $200,000 from the State Government’s Everyone Can Play Program and Council.
