Eats and Beats turns four

Eats and Beats turns four

Friday’s Eats and Beats at Beenleigh Town Square will also double as a birthday celebration for Logan’s premier food and music pop up festival.

The first Eats and Beats was held at Ikea Logan, Slacks Creek four years ago amid an explosion of interest, and the monthly event regularly attracts crowds of 5000 people.

This Friday’s (March 29) edition promises to be a memorable one.

Acts booked include Briana Dinsdale, Will Day, Roxbury and Forever Road and there’ll also be the usual delicious food truck with tastes from all over the world.

The first 200 guests will be treated to a Poppy’s Happy Birthday chocolate.

“It’s a great milestone for a festival that Logan has really taken to,” City Image and Innovation Chairperson Councillor Laurie Smith said.

“I think part of its success is down to the fact that it’s held on the last Friday of every month, so it’s a good way for people to kick back and relax at the end of a long week and a long month.

“I’d like to thank the Council staff, the vendors and the visitors who have made Eats and Beats such a success over the last four years.”

Eats and Beats begins at 5pm at Beenleigh Town Square in Kent Street. Entry is free.
