Eighth person charged after Reservoir death

Detectives from the Homicide Squad have today charged an eighth person following the death of a 16-year-old boy in Reservoir earlier this year.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested at Melbourne Airport this morning and was subsequently interviewed by police.

The teen has been charged with murder and will face a children’s court shortly.

His arrest follows an incident on Sunday, 13 March in Reservoir where 16-year-old Declan Cutler was fatally assaulted and stabbed.

Emergency services were called to Elizabeth Street just before 2.30am after reports someone had been assaulted.

Declan was treated by paramedics and police, however he died at the scene.

Seven people have already been charged with murder in relation to the incident.
