Elderly man robbed at South Plympton, South Australia

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at South Plympton.

Just before 7pm, Monday 11 October, a man approached a house and asked the elderly occupant if he would drive him to an address.

The victim obliged and while driving, the man allegedly assaulted the victim by hitting him in the head with a hammer. The victim then crashed into an unoccupied parked car on Stuart Road before the suspect fled in the victim’s car which was last seen heading east along Stuart Road.

The suspect is described as being Caucasian, aged in his early 20’s with a shaved head and a dark beard. He was wearing a black long sleeve t-shirt, black Adidas trackpants, white sneakers and a red bum-bag.

The victim received a minor head injury.

Anyone who spots the victim’s white 2011 Ford XR sedan S581AKT, is urged to call the Police Assistance Line on 131444.
