An investigation into a break-in at Elizabeth Vale has now concluded.
Police have examined the circumstances of the incident that occurred on Saturday 14 May and have determined that no charges will be laid against the 22-year-old man from the property.
Detectives from Northern District are satisfied that he was acting in self-defence.
All parties involved in the matter have been advised of this decision by police.
The 20-year-old man from Queensland who allegedly broke into the house will be summonsed to appear in court to face a count of criminal trespass.
